My son entered LearningRX as a very challenged reader. He had many of the skills he needed to read, but had a hard time putting those skills together. After working with a trainer at LearningRX for 20-weeks, his skills improved dramatically. His trainer, Will Atkinson, made the hard work of brain training fun for my 10-year old son. LearningRX accomplished what we had hoped it would and it was one of the best academic things we have ever done for our children.
The program was an excellent experience for Kai. He made a lot of progress in spite of his resistance at times. We are seeing his improvements in his schoolwork, less Cs and more As and Bs. His piano teacher can see the changes in his focus and progress with learning his material.

My son started LearningRx when he was 16 and my biggest regret in parenting him is that I didn’t find this place sooner! It has completely improved every aspect of his life! Our daughter started the ReadRx program in November, mid-pandemic. At the halfway point she was reading at grade level, and reading magazines and chapter books – for fun! We signed our daughter up for sessions at LearningRx while she was struggling with 7th grade Civics. The trainers were great, forming personal connections with her, which helped her be more open to the curriculum and sessions. LearningRx gave us regular progress updates, and they were very encouraging of her progress.
Lisa and the trainers here never gave up on my son even though he was difficult to work with. He is now doing much better in school when he puts forth effort. He is willing to try new things. My son is making better grades; he is doing well at school when he chooses to do his assignments. He is trying new things and doesn’t shut down as easily.
My son has demonstrated an easy understanding in processing information so he can now resolve problems (homework) with ease and confidence.
Aselin was having a very tough time in school, specifically with math. We went from constant tears over homework that she did not understand, low grades and not wanting to go to school. To now enjoying going to school, completing homework on her own and getting great grades.
I know that Riley still needs work with his attention and focus. However, I have seen improvement in these areas that has helped his schoolwork. I’ve seen that he’s been a bit quicker to solve a problem and remember what he was doing. These are the biggest areas I’ve seen. Another plus has been that he’ll sit and focus for a longer period of time.
My son struggled hard with reading. The approach to learning has helped him flourish. His reading comprehension is by and far improved, and he is reading whole pages without stumbling. Highly recommend for all ages and learning styles, for ADD/ADHD and other learning disabilities. It’s one thing for us to be proud of his progress, but it’s something wholly different for him to be proud and confident.
My child was struggling so much with reading in school and at home. She had one-on-one help through the school for a full school year but was still significantly below grade level. Her frustration began to build with tests taking almost 3x longer for her to complete when compared to her peers. She started to dislike going to school because it was too difficult. She has grown tremendously with LearningRx. She is volunteering to read at school and has improved in her skills in many ways.

Very helpful for children with learning differences. My son has gained confidence with his math skills and is actually proud of his work he brings home from school. He has not only gained academic confidence but also has gained a lot of confidence in his social life as well. He is not as reserved and shy and continues to be more happy all around. I turned 68 and finished my training at RX Learning in Charlottesville a few weeks ago. Michelle, my trainer, made my experience enjoyable, beneficial and relevant. Some of the many benefits of the program for me include: improved ability to maintain focus for longer periods of time; improved ability to ignore distractions; improved long and short term memory; acquisition of problem solving skills that I use on a regular basis; and most importantly – knowing that I can tackle everyday life issues with confidence and flexibility.
I can comprehend what I read better, and my writing skills have generally improved (whether it is more reflective or academic writing). I have also noticed improvements in my overall memory. The activities completed each session were very helpful in my improvement.

My daughter recently completed their program and we couldn’t be happier with the results! She was struggling so badly despite being medicated for her ADHD. LearningRx has been the best thing we have decided to do for our kids. We have both of our kids in an individual program, 8-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son. Our son has dyslexia and ADHD. Our son had struggled with ADHD and OCD for many years through school. School continually struggled to meet his needs and adapt to someone that thinks differently.
