How Our Brain Training Center Works

To help you or your child strengthen cognitive skills, we’ll design a one-of-a-kind training plan, and we’ll target cognitive skills in one-on-one training sessions. Here’s a closer look at how our training methods work, plus how they differ from other solutions — like tutoring.

Assessment & Personalized Plan

Everyone’s brain excels in different areas and in response to different situations. At LearningRx Colorado Springs, our approach is defined by each learner, starting with a Brain Skills Assessment. 

The Brain Skills Assessment gives us the opportunity to discover how your child learns, where they excel, and where they can benefit from training. We then create a personalized training plan based on individual needs and goals.

One-on-One Training Sessions

In the same way that personal training targets specific muscle groups, brain training targets specific skills, like visual processing, logic and reasoning, and long-term memory. 

With one-on-one training, we motivate and energize learners of all ages. Most programs last between two to six months, and each one-on-one session includes a mix of drills and games that strengthen cognitive skills.

During training, our brain trainers keep students focused and engaged. This helps learners stay on target and make the most of each session!

Brain Training or Tutoring?

Tutoring often re-teaches course material learned in class. Cognitive training doesn’t re-teach the course material — instead, it builds fundamental learning and thinking skills. 

We offer programs for kids and teens who are struggling with reading, math, and studying, or who need to work extra hard to achieve good grades. We also offer training to students who have been diagnosed with a learning difference like dyslexia.
