Brain Training in Atlanta
Neurodiversity can come with challenges at times, but it’s also a tremendous gift. Many famous thinkers, artists, scientists, and entrepreneurs have autism, and have linked their success to their unique perspective. With the right strategies and support, anyone on the spectrum can thrive. At LearningRx Atlanta – Buckhead, we’re dedicated to providing Brain Training for all ages.
Through one-on-one brain training, anyone can work on honing the way they think, learn, and remember. Our brain training programs aren’t a treatment for autism. Instead, those on the spectrum can work on those cognitive skills they wish to improve. These core cognitive skills are linked to abilities like:
- Reading and writing
- Memorization and studying
- Focus and attention
- Socializing
- Mental processing
- And more!
For over three decades, LearningRx has offered dedicated Brain Training for those who need it. In fact, 1 out of every 20 clients has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). With a strength-based approach, we’re dedicated to helping all ages discover their unique potential.
Personalized Training for Core Brain Skills
At LearningRx Atlanta – Buckhead, brain training is always dictated by the needs, strengths, and skills of each individual student. This personalized approach is especially important when supporting students on the spectrum, whose symptoms can range widely.
We begin with a comprehensive Brain Skills Assessment, which allows us to assess each client’s needs and abilities in great detail. After that, we’ll formulate a customized brain training plan. Each student is led by a dedicated brain trainer through sessions packed with drills and games. As they advance through their personalized program, they can improve core cognitive skills!
We celebrate neurodiversity, making it easier for clients on the spectrum to tap into their powerful strengths, improve their aptitudes, and face challenges with confidence.
Choosing Autism Tutoring or Brain Training?
For learners of all ages, it may seem like brain training and tutoring have similarities. But they differ in crucial ways.
Tutoring is designed to deliver the same information as in the classroom, often in a one-on-one format. While this can be helpful when students fall behind in a class, it isn’t always as useful when they regularly struggle.
Brain training, on the other hand, is designed to help learners improve their own skills and abilities. Instead of teaching the material, we work on training the mind.
