Improve Memory in Huntsville

No one’s memory is perfect. Whether it’s misplacing our keys or struggling to remember a new coworker’s name, we all forget things sometimes. But if you find yourself forgetting things more often than you used to, memory training may help. At LearningRx, we target short-term and long-term memory through brain training and have improved memory skills for thousands of clients.

Brain training can improve memory skills in kids as young as four years old, and it gives adults a way to work on memory skills as they age. While brain training is not a treatment or cure for age-related memory loss, our programs allow older adults to target specific memory skills. Every client gets a custom memory training plan, with training tailored to their individual needs.

LearningRx has provided memory help training to thousands of clients, including those with age-related memory loss. In one research study, adults over 50 with memory problems improved short-term and long-term memory after completing a brain training program. In the same study, over 90% of clients reported real-life improvements as a result of training.

(Results based on studies and surveys of past clients. Other clients may or may not achieve the same results.)

How Brain Training Targets Memory Skills

Personalized Memory Help Plans

At LearningRx, we know that everyone’s memory is unique. No two people have the same cognitive makeup, and different people have trouble with short-term and long-term memory for different reasons.

To train memory skills, we create a custom training program for each client. Before we start training, we conduct a Brain Skills Assessment to measure working memory (also known as short-term memory) and long-term memory skills. We also measure other areas that are closely linked to memory skills, like attention skills and thinking speed.

Based on each client’s Brain Skills Assessment and history, we develop a custom memory training plan. This plan targets specific areas where the client has room for improvement, with a plan for strengthening these skills in the right order.

Brain Training to Improve Memory

LearningRx memory training plans use mental exercises and drills to give your memory a workout. During one-on-one training sessions, we challenge your working memory, long-term memory, and other related brain skills with targeted activities.

Our approach is similar to personal training, but for mental skills instead of muscle groups. Each training session includes a mix of one-on-one games, activities, and drills to target specific memory skills. In other words, we give your memory a workout by challenging the way your brain learns, processes, and remembers information!

LearningRx has improved memory skills for tens of thousands of LearningRx clients, including kids, teens, and adults. These results include a case study of 292 adults over the age of 50 who had reported memory and attention problems prior to brain training.

After completing a LearningRx program, these adults saw significant gains in memory skills on average following the program. In surveys, they also reported real-life improvements in areas like memory, concentration, and mood!

(Results based on studies and surveys of past clients. Other clients may or may not achieve the same results.)
