It’s Inclusive Schools Week! This year, Inclusive Schools Week is December 6-12 and the theme is "Rebuilding Our Inclusive Community Together." Since it began in 2001, the celebration has noted the progress that schools have made in providing a supportive and quality education to an increasingly diverse student population, especially those who are marginalized. Which members of the student population might be considered marginalized? Those who may feel excluded due to: • disability • socio-economic status • gender • cultural heritage • language preference • other factors If you’re a teacher, parent or member of a school’s support staff who is looking for potential activities to share this week, visit the Inclusive Schools Network activities and lessons page here: https://inclusiveschools.org/isw-featured-activities/ For a list of helpful inclusion resources, visit this link: https://inclusiveschools.org/inclusion-resources/
