LearningRx Student Success Story: From poor grades to increased confidence and academic success!

When Sahara’s parents enrolled her at LearningRx Staunton-Harrisonburg, they were concerned about her poor grades at school, her challenges with organization and test-taking and the transition she was making after leaving a homeschool setting to attend a traditional school. 

"If she thought she couldn’t do something, she convinced herself that she couldn’t do it," says her mom. "It was hard to get over that hump. She needed more confidence. Our biggest goal with LearningRx was to boost her self-esteem."

Once she started one-on-one brain training, however, her parents saw a big boost in her confidence—both in school and in her extracurricular activities. By the time she finished her LearningRx program, her grades had significantly improved, she was much more organized, and performed much better on tests. That boost in confidence not only manifested in school, but also when showing her 4H animals. 

"[LearningRx] has definitely changed her attitude, her self-confidence, and her ability," her mom explains. "She knows that even when she thinks she can’t do something, she really can. It doesn’t stop her. She’s also more confident in the show ring."

According to Sahara’s mom, she has opened up to more opportunities and has adjusted very well to the new school setting. Sahara has better tools now to achieve whatever she wants to do."
