Our brain trainers help kids, teens, and adults build these skills in one-on-one training sessions. We offer programs for reading, math, and studying, as well as learning plans for learners with dyslexia, autism, or ADHD. We even offer adult brain fitness programs, including memory help for adults over 50!

Drawing on 35+ years of research and practice, we build custom training programs for each learner in mind. This way, you or your child can improve specific learning and thinking skills through one-on-one training.

How Our Brain Training Center Works

To help you or your child strengthen cognitive skills, we’ll design a one-of-a-kind training plan, and we’ll target cognitive skills in one-on-one training sessions. Here’s a closer look at how our training methods work, plus how they differ from other solutions — like tutoring.

Assessment & Personalized Plan

With LearningRx Charlottesville, brain training is targeted to each learner and their specific needs. We begin with a Brain Skills Assessment, exploring where each learner excels as well as identifying growth areas. 

We then develop a personalized training plan around these goals. Length and frequency of programs will depend on learners as well as desired outcomes. Programs often last from two to six months, with multiple weekly sessions.

One-on-One Training Sessions

Cognitive training can target and train specific skills, the same way personal training can achieve specific fitness goals. Our brain trainers keep learners on-track and motivated, making it easier to build and strengthen targeted skills.

Brain Training or Tutoring?

Tutoring is often designed to reteach class material. Brain training takes a different approach. Rather than teaching material itself, it helps students learn, process, and remember class material more easily!
