Reading Help near the United States Air Force Academy

With a dedicated, one-on-one approach, we work on building those foundational skills needed for a lifetime of reading effectively. Our reading help programs focus on developing core reading skills and strategies for early readers, as well as honing reading comprehension for those with an existing base of reading abilities. 

For all our students, we take a unique approach informed by each learner’s specific skills, strengths, and growth areas. Our brain trainers can work with those who have dyslexia, ADHD, or other cognitive differences that may make reading an additional challenge. With decades of research and practice in cognitive development, we’re committed to helping learners get excited about reading!

Our One-on-One Approach to Reading Help

Reading isn’t just one singular skill—it requires many different skills to be leveraged effectively and consistently. Readers must quickly identify letters and letter combinations, process complex ideas, and retain information. This means that when students struggle with their reading abilities, it’s not always for the same reasons.

That’s why we personalize each of our programs with a particular learner in mind. At our Brain Training Center near the United States Air Force Academy, we offer two different programs for reading help:

• ReadRx. Students work on fundamental reading skills, with an emphasis on identifying letter combinations with their associated sounds, as well as breaking up unfamiliar words into parts. This is ideal for first-time readers or those who struggle to read as effectively as their peers. 
• ComprehendRx. This program helps existing readers take their skills to the next level. They work on reading more quickly and accurately, building a strong vocabulary, and information retention. It’s well-suited for those readers who have a grasp on the basics but wish to improve their overall comprehension.
