Attention Help in Columbus-Dublin
Today, almost everyone is looking for a way to increase attention spans and limit distractions. The good news? With brain training, attention skills can be strengthened at any age. Whether you’re looking to boost your own attention skills or help your child pay attention at school, LearningRx can improve focus and concentration skills!
Attention skills represent one of the seven core cognitive skills trained by LearningRx. Our programs also train other skills that work in tandem with attention skills, like short-term memory and how quickly your brain processes information.
LearningRx programs helped thousands of clients improve their focus and concentration skills, including kids, teens, and adults! Between 2010 and 2021, kids and teens who completed brain training improved attention skills by 3.2 years on average compared to peers.
(Results based on studies and surveys of past clients. You or your child may or may not achieve the same results.)
How We Help with Focus & Attention
Personalized Training to Improve Concentration
Brain training offers a way to improve focus and concentration skills for learners of all ages. By strengthening attention skills, it becomes easier to stay focused, avoid distractions, and juggle different tasks.
We start with a Brain Skills Assessment that identifies where brain training can have the greatest impact. The results from the Assessment will show which skills can be improved. We then develop an individualized training plan for each learner.
By tailoring our programs for different cognitive skills and learning styles, we make it easy to target the right skills for clients who need help with focus and concentration.
Brain Training for Focus & Attention Skills
At LearningRx, we improve focus and concentration through a system called brain training. This system uses mental exercises and games to target and strengthen cognitive skills.
Learners work with a dedicated brain trainer in one-on-one sessions. During these sessions, learners build skills to help students:
- Focus on specific tasks for longer periods
- Block out distractions when concentrating
- Perform multiple tasks at the same time
In addition to improving concentration skills, we can also target related skills like memory, visualization, and processing abilities. Often, when students are having trouble paying attention, improving other skills makes it easier for them to engage with the material.
Our programs make it easy to build skills in the right order. This way, students build a strong foundation before moving to more demanding exercises. We offer direct encouragement and feedback throughout training, helping students stay engaged and on task.
This approach allows students to rapidly build mental connections and strengthen attention skills!
Brain Training or Tutoring for Attention?
When students are having trouble focusing or paying attention, parents will often look to tutoring first.
Unfortunately, many students have just as much trouble paying attention with a tutor as they do in class. Tutoring helps deliver educational content, but it doesn’t actually improve attention skills.
LearningRx offers a way to build these skills in students of all ages! Our brain training programs improve attention skills in kids and teens. These skills include how to stay focused on a single task and how to ignore distractions.
LearningRx also boosts other important brain skills, like memory abilities and processing speed. This way, students have the foundation they need to thrive in any educational setting!
