Brain Training for Adults – National Healthy Aging Month People of all ages, even adults, can benefit from personal brain training. September is National Healthy Aging Month, and we want to highlight how adults can benefit from personal brain training. Many assume that personal brain training is only for students, but anyone can benefit from targeted cognitive skills training. How LearningRx Helps Adults At LearningRx, many adults who have come through our program have seen dramatic results from our one-on-one brain training. Whether you’re struggling with age-related cognitive decline, targeted brain training may be able to boost those skills. We’ve also worked with adults who have experienced many different things. Including, soldiers, patients who have undergone cancer treatments and experienced “chemo brain,” working adults looking to get a “leg up” in their career, and seniors looking to sharpen their brain skills to live independently longer. Unlike tutoring, personal brain training focuses on strengthening core cognitive skills. These skills allow us to think, learn, read, and remember. LearningRx personal brain training targets and strengthens those necessary skills to make learning easier and faster no matter the subject. Our Adult Results Curious about LearningRx’s results with personal brain training? We’ve laid out some data for you to review in our latest Results Report. Of the more than 2,000 adults who graduated from LearningRx programs between 2010 and 2018, our average graduate improved by +14 IQ points and made significant gains in long-term memory, attention, and working memory.* How LearningRx Personal Brain Training Works When a new client comes to LearningRx, we start with a Brain Skills Assessment. This one-hour test tells us which cognitive skills are strong and could use a boost. Using these results, the team creates a personalized brain training program to target and strengthen the skills most need. You’ll be paired with a personal brain trainer for the duration of your program. During training, you will be tasked with mental drills and cognitive exercises. Our programs give your mind a workout by targeting and exercising cognitive skills over time. For those unfamiliar with personal brain training, consider it a workout for your mind that lasts. When you build stronger connections in your mind, those connections tend to stay connected.* Anyone aiming to improve cognitive performance can get in touch with a center on our website or by phone. Go to www.LearningRx.com and then enter your zip code to find your nearest personal brain training center. Can’t find a center near you? We also offer virtual brain training, done via computer from the privacy of your home. You’ll still be paired with a trainer and do training just the same, but only through a screen. *Results may vary. See our research studies for more information.
