LearningRX

Is LearningRx a Learning Center?

Learning can be one of the great joys of life. Whether you’re looking to improve your own skills or seeking a program for your child, you may be wondering—is LearningRx a learning center? And if so, what does it offer?

When it comes to one-on-one learning, tutoring isn’t the only option. At LearningRx, we offer another form of learning, one that’s dynamic, intense, and engaging—brain training. In the same way that physical training uses exercises to progressively improve muscle groups, brain training targets the mind!

Through one-on-one programs, students exert specific cognitive skills, like focus or memory. As they progress, they can improve their cognitive abilities, transforming the way they learn, think, and remember

Our learning center can be a great choice for all ages, including:

  • Students who struggle with specific subjects, like reading or math
  • Adults who wish to improve cognitive performance
  • Kids and teens who want to build practical learning skills for studying or test-taking
  • Those with learning differences like ADHD, dyslexia, or ASD

Let’s take a closer look at what you can expect at our learning center, and how our programs can target and train key skills!

How Our Learning Center Can Help

What To Expect At LearningRx

Every learner is unique,  with different skills and different goals. That’s why, at LearningRx, we tailor each program based on the needs and abilities of each learner.

That begins with a comprehensive and initial Brain Skills Assessment at our learning center. From there, we’ll build out a brain training program that helps each student focus on those areas where they wish to see improvement.

While every program is different, students can look forward to multiple weekly sessions over a period of months. During each session, you’ll work one-on-one with a brain trainer who knows your strengths and abilities. Through dynamic and focused games, exercises, and drills, you’ll target key cognitive skills such as logic and reasoning, visual processing, or attention. Your brain trainer will always be on hand to provide feedback and encouragement, keeping you motivated and on track as you progress through sessions.

For students of all ages, it’s an intense, hands-on, and dynamic approach to learning. As you see gains in key cognitive areas, you can also tap into new skills and abilities, discovering your unique potential.

Brain Training vs. Tutoring

How is our learning center different from tutoring services? It’s a common question, and understanding the distinction between brain training and tutoring will help you appreciate the possibilities of LearningRx.

Simply put, tutoring focuses on learning the information. It typically replicates the experience of school but in a one-on-one context. Tutors will usually draw on the curriculum to re-teach concepts and materials that can be commonly found in the classroom.

In contrast, brain training focuses on learning skills. These are the cognitive skills required for effective reading, learning, understanding, and remembering—crucial for understanding new ideas, retaining key details, and applying the information.

Unfortunately, tutoring can simply recreate the frustrations and stresses of a classroom environment. Often, that’s because students lack the underlying skills needed for learning—skills that are targeted through our learning center.

Tap Into Your Unique Learning Potential

One-on-one brain training through LearningRx can be game-changing at any age. From working on early learning skills for young kids to enhancing cognitive performance for adults, we help students unlock new skills and abilities at every age.

It’s not uncommon for students to lose their curiosity for learning as they age. That can be due to challenging school environments, boredom, difficulty with learning skills, underlying cognitive differences—or any number of other factors.

At LearningRx, we’re dedicated to helping students of all ages get re-energized about learning. We know that human minds are capable of extraordinary things—and we’re excited to help you discover what your mind is capable of!
