LearningRx Graduate Ranks 30th in the World for Pi Recitation Adriana Martin is a remarkable young lady with one of the best memories in the world. It all started when the teen was in kindergarten. Her teacher challenged the class to try to learn 20 digits of Pi. Adriana surpassed the goal, memorizing 120 digits. By first grade, Adriana recited 603 digits for her annual Pi Day competition at Southfield School. In second grade, that number increased to 1,420. By third grade, it was 2,812. That number increased to 3,715 by 2017 and by 2018, her goal was to recite 5,000 digits of Pi. She surpassed that, correctly reciting 5,087 digits in 5th grade. That number earned her a ranking of 8th place in ALL ages in the United States and 47th for all ages in the world. In 2019, she recited 6,086 digits of Pi to earn the world record for the 11-year-old category. Fast forward to 2021: Adriana listed 10,061 digits of Pi, earning her 6th in the nation and 30th in the world. “Adriana has been in the news for years for her recitation ability,” explains LearningRx Shreveport Director Donesa Walker. “She graduated from our personal brain training program in 2021. We simply trained her brain in other areas; primarily in reading comprehension. We’re so very proud of her!” LearningRx is incredibly proud and impressed by Adriana’s memorization skills and accomplishments, and we wish her the best in her future Pi recitations! “We are honored that LearningRx has been part of Adriana’s journey towards reaching her goals,” says Kim Hanson.
