What Do Diagnosis of ADHD, Dyslexia, ASD and TBI Have In Common?

“These labels do not define your loved one and LearningRx can help!”

At LearningRx, we specialize in one-on-one cognitive training for all ages.  Although we do not diagnose, we work with many individuals who come to us with an existing diagnosis .  Our goal is to uncover the “learner beneath the label” as we leverage the principle of neuroplasticity to strengthen the core cognitive skills typically holding back those with a diagnosis like ADHD, dyselxia, learning disability or TBI.  Below are some examples of results from our cognitive training programs.

ADHD

  • In the past few years, we have worked with roughly 7,000 children and adults diagnosed with ADHD.
  • Our average gain in cognitive skills for those clients with ADHD was 3.8 years.
  • A study published in the journal Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment showed that children with ADHD who completed a LearningRx program obtained clinically significant change that indicated overall recovery; and they reported improvements in confidence, cooperative behaviors, and self-discipline.

Dyslexia

  • In the past few years we have worked with roughly 2,500 clients with dyslexia.
  • Dyselxia typically manfiests as cognitive skills weaknesses in memory, visual processing and/or auditory processing – areas our training directly addresses.
  • Our average Word Attack gains are 2.4 years and auditory processing gains are 5.6 years!

Learning Disability

  • In the past few years we have worked with roughly 2,500 clients with a learning disability.
  • Our average overall gain in cognitive skills is 3.3 years – including average gains in long-term memory of 3.6 years, working memory of 2.9 years, reasoning of 3.1 years,  auditory processing of 4.9 years, and sustained attention of 2.9 years.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

  • We have multiple published, peer-reviewed studies demonstrating significant gains in cognitive skills and improved quality of life for TBI survivors.
  • One example is research published in Frontiers in Psychology where 10 of 11 individuals achieved overall recovery based on clinically significant changes in general intellectual ability which increased an average of 13 points.  More importantly, participants indicated greater overall abilities and improved quality of life as a result of their training.
