Our minds, like our bodies, can be strengthened with focused training. At LearningRx Eagan, our one-on-one, customized training targets the key cognitive skills related to reading and reading comprehension. Led through progressive challenges and exercises, learners work on improving these skills.
Beginning with a cognitive skills assessment, our reading programs are always uniquely tailored to each client. This targeted approach allows us to maximize gains for every learner.
ReadRx® is perfect for budding readers and those who want to pick up the fundamentals. This program trains learners to connect letters and letter combinations with speech sounds. It teaches reading and spelling jointly while also improving fluency, which helps comprehension.
ComprehendRx® is ideal for learners who already have a foundation in reading, but who want to improve reading comprehension. With an emphasis on reading speed, critical thinking, and language, this program can tap into a lifelong love of reading.
Brain Training or Reading Tutoring?
While tutoring has the benefit of one-on-one support, it’s only designed to re-teach classroom concepts, not to improve foundational learning skills.
Unlike tutoring, brain training doesn’t re-teach the school curriculum. Instead, our training addresses the root cause of the reading deficit to identify why a child struggles with reading in the first place. When learners need reading help or have difficulty with a classroom environment, cognitive training can be a game-changer.
