Suggested Reading for Teens

Engaging books for teenagers! Looking for some good suggestions to encourage a teen to pick up a book and read? Well, keep reading, there a several great recommendations below.

Jill, I, and our trainers frequently get asked about our recommendations for books for kids at various reading levels. One of the areas that is hardest to address is suggested books for teens. This can be difficult project because it depends on several factors like areas of interest and lexile ability also known as phonemic ability (my ability to easily decode words as I read).

We always try to come up with a good mix of books on our suggested reading list that addresses both interest and lexile ability. The list below was compiled with input from our friends at one of the local libraries. It is arranged by area of interest within each group and will have both easy reading and more difficult texts.
