Thankful for 16 Years of LearningRx and The Many Changed Lives

As we approach Thanksgiving, my wife and I are so thankful for 16 years of LearningRx and the many changed lives due to our training!

We opened the center mainly due to the difficulties our youngest daughter, Catie, was experiencing.  She was diagnosed with ADHD, receptive and expressive language delays and sensory integration disorder.  It was an intimidating process figuring out how to help her with these diagnosis as the options we were given were ADHD medication and an IEP – accommodations in the classroom.  We tried this route, but our daughter had bad reactions to her ADHD medication, and we quickly realized that her IEP was not addressing her difficulties but accommodating them and lower school expectations to help her get through.  These approaches frustrated us as we did not want to put a Band-Aid on her struggles but address the root cause.

Since she completed her LearningRx training years ago, she has been off her ADHD medication, has been excelling in school and will be receiving her college degree at the end of this year.  We’re so proud of her and grateful for the help with ADHD, reading and overall confidence her LearningRx training provided.

Catie is just one of thousands of life changing stories!  We are approaching 2,500 LearningRx graduates in the Twin Cities focused on helping families looking for reading help, ADHD help, help improving executive function, or helping adults overcoming traumatic brain injuries (TBI) or age-related cognitive decline.

There have been many changes since we opened our centers in Savage, Eagan and Woodbury 16 years ago, and one of those is the breadth of data and peer-reviewed research we now boast.  To date, there have been over 40 studies completed on our training and 17 of these studies have been peer-reviewed and published in psychology, medical or education journals.  We have several peer-reviewed studies related to our work with ADHD, studies demonstrating the significant gains we provide for those seeking reading help.  We also have published studies showing how LearningRx training improves motivation, helps those with traumatic brain injuries or concussions, and impacts seniors struggling with age-related cognitive decline.

For those seeking ADHD helpreading help, general academic help or stronger skills as we age, LearningRx training can be life changing.  This is shown in the thousands of testimonials we have received, the research published on our cognitive skills training, and the customer satisfaction scores from the families we have worked with.  One of the measures for which we are most proud and thankful is that we average a score of 9.6 out of 10 from our graduate families as to their likelihood to recommend us to their friends and family.

A special thank you to all of you who have entrusted us to help a loved one or yourself in these past 16 years and for being one of our life changing stories.  May you be blessed this Thanksgiving Season!
